Ayla Reynolds Missing from Waterville, ME. Have you seen this child? If so contact Maine State Police at 207-624-7076

Almost three weeks since the now 21-month old Ayla Reynolds vanished from her father’s home in Waterville, Maine  The mystery surrounding  her disappearance continue.

After an exhaustive search by local, state and federal authorities have now classified this investigation from missing child/kidnapping  to criminal with strong belief that there was foul play in her disappearance.

The Waterville Police Department played the lead role in this investigation. On December 30 it handed control to Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit. Local sources who cover crime in Maine on a regular basis tell me for instance if a homicide, suspicious death or major occurs then State Police takes the lead.

However no new information has been released. Leaving a lot of people wondering: What in the world happened to little Ayla and praying for her return.

Justin DiPietro, Ayla’s father, broke his two weeks of silence and spoke exclusively to NBC’s Today Show and Aditi Roy this week pleading whomever may have Ayla to bring her home.

“Just a normal night,”  DiPietro said as he described the last night he saw his daughter. He also called to the airwaves to whomever had his daughter to let her go”‘What you are doing isn’t right.”

According to DiPietro, Ayla was put to bed around 8:30pm on Friday Dec 16. She was wearing a green poke-a-dot jumpsuit with Daddy’s Little Girl embroidered on it.

Also this week the Reynolds family launched a website for Ayla (www.aylareynolds.com) in hopes that it will generate information to help bring Ayla home.

Members of the public with any tips or information is urged to contact Maine State Police at 207-624-7076.
