About Rony

Salut et Bienvenue

I am Rony Camille welcome and thanks for visiting my home on the net.

A little bit about me:  By trade I am a media producer — a journalist at heart, I enjoy telling a good story.

What can I say news coverage is in my blood. I can remember wanting to be in the media industry since I was 5 years old — watching the daily newscasts on CFTM-TV and CBFT-TV in Montreal learning about other places in the world  and attempting to play around with my father’s camcorder and Minolta X-700 SLR camera when he would clearly tell me not to touch them ( I used to break a lot of things when I was younger — so I  would use a playskool flashlight as a pretend camera and have my little sister pretend she was a network correspondent).

It has been the love affair that I have had with media that has allowed me to wear several hats in the past decade from WSMN-AM, a little station in Nashua, NH to  ABC News.

Currently, I am the Media Program Director for the Town of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts where I handle the day-to-day operations for the Office of Media Programming (The town’s cable access channels, website’s and social media).

Additionally, I am a freelance television field producer based in Nashua, New Hampshire covering various breaking news events across the northeast.

I am originally from LaSalle, Québec, Canada, a borough of Montreal, and a May 2007 graduate of N.C. Central University in Durham, NC where I studied English & Mass Communication.

When I am not doing anything media related I do enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling (I am known for taking a random road-trip on the road less traveled) catching up on my latest sci-fi & crime shows/movies/novels, soccer, photography, auto racing, hockey and candle-pin bowling.  I have this itch for aviation hopefully I’ll get around to getting a 3rd-class pilot license.

Again, many thanks for visiting. Feel free to take a look at my portfolio and the blog, which I have now started to develop.  It is a reflection on events occurring local, national and global.

Feel free to contact me and follow me on twitter @ronycamille.
