About Rony

A little bit about me:  By trade I am a  storyteller — a journalist at heart, I enjoy hearing and sharing a good story.

What can I say news coverage is in my blood. I can remember wanting to be in the media industry since I was 5 years old — watching the daily newscasts  on TV. I would attempt to play around with my father’s cameras when he would clearly tell me not to touch them ( I used to break a lot of things when I was younger — so I  would use a playskool flashlight as a pretend camera and have my little sister pretend she was a network correspondent). Over the years I eventually exchanged my pretend camera for a real one.

It has been the love affair that I have had with media that has allowed me to wear several hats in the past decade from a little radio station in Nashua, NH to realm of network television at ABC News.

Today, I am the Media Program Director & Webmaster for the Town of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts where I handle the day-to-day operations for the Office of Media Programming which include: the town’s cable access channels,  websites and social media.

Additionally, I am a NH-based freelance network television field producer covering various news coverage events around the New England Region.

I am originally from LaSalle, Québec, Canada, a borough of Montreal, and a graduate of N.C. Central University in Durham, NC where I studied English & Mass Communication.

When I am not doing anything work related, I do enjoy: Spending time with my family and friends, traveling (I am known for taking a random road-trip on the road less traveled) catching up on the  latest work in science-fiction, soccer, photography, auto racing and hockey. I have this itch for aviation and recently went for my first flight on a Cessna 172. Hopefully I’ll get around to getting a 3rd-class pilot license (care to sponsor me?).

Many thanks for visiting. Feel free to take a look around the website which includes what I have been working on and my blog, which has my reflection on events occurring local, national and global.

And of course feel free to contact me.
